Coronavirus: Urgent Notice to All Our Clients

In light of the health threat facing South Africans as the coronavirus continues to spread in our country, Care Net Consultants wants to convey the following important information.
Keeping up with occupational health and safety medicals
The coronavirus, which can lead to the disease known as Covid-19, has been declared a national disaster by President Cyril Ramaphosa. As he has stressed, South Africans can combat its spread and effects, but we need to stay calm and ensure we all remain well informed, in addition to adhering to some basic safety and hygiene measures.
The current situation makes it more imperative than ever that your employees are subjected to comprehensive medical surveillance, where applicable, and that their medicals are up to date. Care Net Consultants will be working extra hard to make this effort as convenient and simple as possible for you.
In addition, Care Net Consultants has proactively planned to implement the following:
Care Net Consultants is immediately available to host clinics at your workplace to educate your staff about the virus and the ways in which they can ensure the least exposure and danger to their health.
These clinics will cover optimal hygiene and sanitary practices, ways of boosting your immune system to lessen the chances of contracting the virus, and what steps to take if you do get it. Our professional and caring staff will explain terms such as self-care, self-isolation and social distancing, emphasising the need to tackle this pandemic in a responsible and non-alarming manner, and taking into consideration the particular needs and circumstances of your workforce.
The sessions are three hours each and cost R3 950 for a group of between 25 and 30 employees. We also have 10 000 hand sanitisers (500ml) available at R99 excluding VAT and surgical masks. (While stocks lasts)

Winter flu and the coronavirus
During the winter months, people’s immune systems are often more compromised, leading to many more cases of flu and pneumonia. Combined with the coronavirus, which is expected to be with us for some months to come, it is imperative to give flu injections to as many employees as possible.
Predictions are that there will be a scramble for flu injections, but Care Net Consultants has already ordered 5 000, which are expected to arrive within the next three weeks.

Suspension of lung function testing
Until further notice, Care Net Consultants will no longer include lung function testing as part of our normal occupational health and safety medicals. This is to safeguard our clients and staff.
As soon as the Department of Health assures us it is safe to do so, we will resume these tests and send mobile clinics out to all our clients whose medicals are incomplete because of this suspension. At this stage, it is not possible for us to say when the suspension will be lifted, however, we foresee that it may last up to three months.
