Depending on the risk exposures we would recommend a full medical with biological monitoring or x-rays where needed.

Recycling & Waste Management

We recommend a full medical examination with Hep B and Typhoid vaccinations as well as an x-ray at least every 2 years.

Logistics, Transport and Drivers / Operators

Full medical examinations are required for drivers and employees working in the logistics industries, with a prime focus being a proper eye test, and identifying Diabetes, Hypertension and Epilepsy. It is also important to educate drivers on healthy habits while driving (especially when travelling for long distances).

Agriculture & Food Industries

Education is the most important factor in this industry so we pride ourselves on the fact that we do not only do a full medical examination with biological monitoring (for salmonella, e-coli, TB and more) but also educate on the importance of food hygiene, food handling and personal hygiene.

Our Mining Medical Examinations (Red-Ticket Medical) is a full medical examination inclusive of a chest x-ray and drug strip test. Biological monitoring can be done additionally for identified risk exposures like lead.

We offer risk based medicals in accordance with the OHS Act 85 of 1993 to ensure that an employee is fit to work in a risk based area. Risks could include (but are not limited to) one or more of the following:

Noise >85dB

Dust (Cement/ Wood/ Silica/ Chrome/ Asbestos)

Cold storage

Shift work

Confined spaces

Operating machinery

Fall risk

Vibrating machinery

Food handling

We also offer our clients the option to have an Executive Physical Examination that offers more comprehensive medical testing. This examination, performed by the Occupational Practitioner / Occupational Medical Practitioner can take up to 2 hours and could include (but not limited) to BMI, blood pressure (both arms, sitting and lying down), pulse, urine analysis, examination of the nose, ear, eyes, dental, head and neck, lymph nodes, abdomen, and skin analysis. It could also include additional testing like cholesterol/ glucose/ drug testing/ HIV/ ECG when needed. This would allow a patient a better opportunity to detect possible illnesses that could or could not affect their work but if treated it would improve their lifestyle.
